Hockey!
As an end of the year celebration event, the Mission Springs staff was treated to dinner and a hockey game at the HP Pavillion in San Jose. We had a fun evening! My brother and Jenni (well, mostly Jenni =) graciously agreed to watch our kids and Ocean Anderson for the evening. We dropped the kids off at J & J's then met the MS staff at the arena. First, we enjoyed a meal together in a private room in the arena. Then, we enjoyed the game!
The NHL game was between the Los Angeles Kings and the host San Jose Sharks

The HP Pavillion is a nice modern arena... here's the view from our seats

Unfortunately, the home team Sharks lost the game. Game Story

I remember when I was home for Christmas last year and my little sister bought me a ticket at the Shark Tank against St. Louis. And the Sharks lost. Again, against St. Louis. It was an awful game full of wince-worthy hockey. But it was still fun to be back at the Shark Tank. Must have been an exciting third period at that game, though.
Yeah, the 3rd period must have been exciting... too bad we'd already left! Ooops! Normally I'm not a leave before the final horn kind of sports fan... but my sister-in-law Jenni was watching our kids and we didn't want to keep her up to late on a work night. We got to see 3 goals scored though... too bad they were by the visiting team!
